How to Find Cheap Flights to Italy
You've probably all started to notice that the prices for international flights are going way down. Some transatlantic flights cost just as much as domestic flights these days! While there are probably many different airlines and websites you can use to find the best deals on flights, the best one I've found (and actually used myself) is Norwegian Airlines.
We really enjoyed our experience flying with Norwegian last summer. We got a good deal on tickets because we booked about five months in advance. It's a great airline for traveling to Europe for a low cost, though it does only fly out of select airports in the US.
Here are a couple of examples. I just looked up San Francisco to Rome Fiumicino for next month (May 2017) and the prices range from $292 to $563, depending on the date you choose.
Book further in advance (and during the off-season), and you'll find even better deals. Here are prices for October 2017 out of San Francisco.
All of these flights are below $400, with most of them in the low 300s. Now that's a steal!
Another reason I like this airline is because you pay for exactly what you want. You only get charged for things you actually want and select when you're buying your ticket (i.e. checked baggage, meals, assigned seats).
We had a great experience, and if you can get to Europe for that cheap then seize the opportunity!
*Note: these are one-way prices. So if you left October 10th ($248) and returned October 18th ($275), your total round trip would be $523. Still a fantastic deal.
